Basic Information

• Accuracy is MDL application of MicroStation that enables rounding or trimming decimal part of coordinates of MicroStation elements in main design.

• Accuracy is available for MicroStation V8i, Bentley Map PowerView V8i a PowerDraft V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8.

• Accuracy cannot run on other graphics editors as MicroStation XM, MicroStation /J etc, or other OS as Windows SE.

• Accuracy can run on all versions of V8i - SelectSeries 1, SelectSeries 2 a SelectSeries 3.

• Accuracy can work with 2D designs and 3D designs.

The conditions for MDL application Accuracy

• On the computer must be any graphics editors like MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i, or Bentley Map PowerView V8i.

• Computer must be connected to the internet.

• MDL application Accuracy must be licensed.

Install and Uninstall

    Installation is performed by using file InstallAccuracyV8i.exe.

   Installation consist of the following files:

   Accuracy.ma – MDL application of MicroStationu.

   It's installing to the MicroStation's directory defined by variable MDLAPPS.

   After starting InstallAccuracyV8i.exe, the installation will be performed by a standards way. Customer must only setup destination for MicroStation V8i, Bentley Map PowerView V8i or PowerDraft V8i.

    Uninstalling is the same process like uninstalling any other software from computer.

    Uninstall will remove following files from the computer:

·         Accuracy.ma

Start MDL application Accuracy

 MDL application Accuracy can be started in several ways:

• From the command line by command  mdl l accuracy and then press Enter.
• From pull-down menu of MicroStation User->Application MDL and double-clicking on Accuracy.

After starting the MDL application Accuracy, it opens main dialog window.

Settings - Rounding or Trimming

In the default settings of MDL application Accuracy is rounding coordinates (toggle button Rounding coordinates is on). If the toggle-button Rounding coordinates is off, there coordinates are trimming.

Difference between Rounding or Trimming

Settings - Number of decimal digits for rounding or trimming

In the dialog box MDL application Accuracy with option-button Rounding sets number of decimal digits for rounding or trimming.

Settings - Type of Working

MDL application Accuracy can rounding or trimming in main design:

• Element - only one element

        (press push-button Change and point at the graphics element by mouse)

• Select - selected elements

        (select elements and press push-button Change)

        (select elements by fence and press push-button Change)

        (press push-button Change)

Settings - Massive design conversion

MDL application Accuracy can works with designs defined by directory

First step

In the main dialog of MDL application Accuracy use Settings->Directories, after that opens dialog box Directories.

In this dialog box is necessary to set-up Input directory and Output directory by writing path to text boxes, or use push-button Select.

Press push-button Default sets directories to default value - directories will be defined by directory of opened main design.

Second step

In the main dialog box of MDL application Accuracy set-ups (on) toggle-button All Designs In Directory.

Third step

Press push-button Change.

Files and Directories

Installation file:

• InstallAccuracyV8i.exe

Directories

• …..\MDLAPPS\ - in this directory will be installed MDL application Accuracy.ma

File created by MDL application Accuracy

• accuracy.rsc – file, that stores all settings of MDL application Accuracy.ma, created after the first start of MDL application Accuracy.
