XRef is an applicable superstructure of the MicroStation system that is determined to simplify the manipulation with the reference designs.

    XRef is marked by following properties:

• All the most important tools of the application are placed in the main dialog box.

• It enables to switch easily the main  and some of the reference designs ( by double click or by element selection).

• It enables to define logical names of the reference and main designs.

• It enables to detach more reference designs by a single application.

• This application can work as a service, its dialog box is not visible.

• This application can attach all designs in directory.

• After the first start of the application there will be made the file xref.rsc in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application XRef will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.

        XRef is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
