SearchG is an applicable superstructure of the MicroStation system that completes the MicroStation tools Select By Attributes and PowerSelector with selection (marking) of the linear and area elements according to their geometrical dimensions (length, or area perimeter). This way you can select and mark e.g. points (lines of zero length).
SearchG is marked by following properties:
This application enables to select following linear elements: lines, line strings, curves, arcs, complex strings and area elements: ellipses, shapes and complex shapes. The elements can be selected in the framework of a fence or the whole design.
The element selection can be specified by the attributes (level, style, color, weight).
Selection of the linear and area elements can be specified by their geometrical dimensions. Linear elements are specified by the length (in the main design units) and by the relation between the defined length and the real element length. (=,>,<,>=,<=, !=). The object length can be expressed with appropriate tolerance. (design sub units).
It is possible to define the perimeter size and the area size about the area objects. Tolerance and relation between the defined and real values (=,<,>,<=,>=, !=) can be set with both quantities. It is possible to evaluate the found values (perimeter and area) of the found elements by the help of logical functions AND, OR, NAND and NOR.
After the first start of the application there will be made the file searchg.rsc in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application SearchG will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.
Help of the SearchG application is available directly from MDL application SearchG on the internet.
SearchG is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
