SQLect is an applicable superstructure of the MicroStation system that completes the MicroStation tools Select By Attributes and PowerSelector with selection (marking) of the elements according to their database links.

    SQLect is marked by following properties:

• All the most important tools of the application are placed in the main dialog box.

• Application work with databases Oracle, MS Access and SQL server

• The elements can be selected in the framework of a fence or the whole design. 

• MDL applications searching database links in active design and references, in basic elements and in complex elements, and is possible to use express processing (not through complex elements).

• It enables to process lines, line strings, shapes, curves, arcs, ellipses, cells, shared cells etc..

• The elements can be selected, deselect, hilite, unhilite in the framework of a fence or the whole design.  

• In dialog Query, is possible to get more information from database - tables, columns, rows etc. and attach database rows to designs elements like text..

• The text (database value) inserted into design can be specified by the attributes (level, style, color, weight, font etc.).

• After the first start of the application there will be made the file sqlect.rsc  in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application SQLect will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.

        SQLect is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
