PlaceC is an applicable superstructure of the MicroStation system that enables to place cells to characteristic parts (vertexes, centroids etc.) of the design elements.
PlaceC is marked by following properties:
The application enables to place the cells on the following linear elements: lines, line strings, curves, arcs, complex strings and area elements: ellipses, shapes and complex shapes. It is possible to use selected elements for cells placing, the elements defined by a fence, or you can work with all elements in design.
The elements selection can be specified by the help of the attributes (level, style, color, weight).
The cells can be placed at the beginning of the element, at the end, in the centroid or on all its vertexes, whereas with the complex elements (complex strings and complex shapes) you can suppress the duplicate coordinates – duplicate cell placement.
While placing the cells into the design you can change their attributes (the same for the graphic cells), their scale, relative shift from the defined vertex and the turn angle. The turn angle can be either absolute - defined by the set angle size – or set in dependence on the instruction (lines, line strings, arcs, complex elements etc.)
After the first start of the application there will be made the file placec.rsc in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application PlaceC will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.
Help of the PlaceC application is available directly from MDL application PlaceC on the internet.
PlaceC is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
