MapInfoOut is a MDL MicroStation application that enables to export MicroStation designs (*.dgn) into MapInfo format (*.mif, *.mid) with database links.
MapInfoOut is marked by following properties:
|
|
Elements of the arc type that can be part of the complex elements are converted into line strings with the possibility to define the number of inserted vertexes, or maximum tolerance (arc into linestring).
Those complex elements that are made by exactly concurred elements (e.g. lines) can be checked for duplicity, the user defines the toleration between the coordinates.
For the exact and correct design translation it is necessary to define the conversion tables that pursuant to the parameters found in the *.dgn files will define the corresponding parameters in the MapInfo designs.
Conversion tables can be modified directly in the MapInfoOut application background or you can make the same operations in the e.g. MS Excel background.
There are available font, color, weight, pattern, symbol, scale, line spacing or justification table here.
Color can be generated automatically by color table in active design (elements has identical color in MicroStation and MapInfo).
Text (only with length one character) is possible to export like Standard symbol or TTF.
After the first start of the application there will be made the file mapinfoout.rsc in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application MapInfoOut will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.
Help of the MapInfoOut application is available directly from MDL application MapInfoOut on the internet.
MapInfoOut is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
