MapInfoIn is a MDL MicroStation application that enables to import MapInfo format (*.mif, *.mid) into the MicroStation, to make database tables and to link graphic elements with database records automatically.
MapInfoIn is marked by following properties:
While importing the graphic elements it is possible additionally to modify the text size. Centers of the closed areas can be marked by a selected graphic symbol – by a cell in the selected scale.
This application enables to convert the designs wholesale - the input directory contains design files *.mif, *.mid; into the output directory are saved converted designs *.dgn

If there is an element of line string type closed in the *.mif file, it is possible to convert this element into MicroStation as a shape.
While converting the designs into Microstation, a new database table is automatically made and the graphic elements and database record are linked. Available are the databases Oracle and MS Access.
For the exact and correct design translation it is necessary to define the conversion tables that pursuant to the parameters found in the *.mif files will define the corresponding parameters in the MicroStation designs.
Conversion tables can be modified directly in the MapInfoIn application background or you can make the same operations in the e.g. MS Excel background.
There are available font, color, weight, pattern, symbol, scale, line spacing or justification table here.
After the first start of the application there will be made the file mapinfoin.rsc in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application MapInfoIn will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.
Help of the MapInfoIn application is available directly from MDL application MapInfoIn on the internet.
MapInfoIn is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
