Eye is an applicable superstructure of the MicroStation that enables the user to display a detail in the surroundings of the mouse in some of the MicroStation views (mouse-tail) and to display the actual mouse position by the help of a blinking point in the view which displays the whole design (AutoCAD function – hawk-eye).
Eye is marked by following properties:
This application enables to display the surroundings of the mouse or the blinking point (hawk-eye) in any open MicroStation views.
The user can define the size of the displayed detail (mouse-tail function) when he or she enters the circle radius of the circumscribed circle around the cursor position.
The hawk-eye function is defined in such a way that, when the blinking point is moving in the view in which the whole design is displayed, regeneration of only a certain screen wedge is made, and thereby it is possible to use this function also with very large MicroStation designs.
After the first start of the application there will be made the file eye.rsc in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application Eye will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.
Help of the Eye application is available directly from MDL application Eye on the internet.
Eye is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
