ExPoints is an applicable superstructure of the MicroStation system, which enables to export the MicroStation elements into a text file in the form of coordinates.
ExPoints is marked by following properties:
It enables to export elements such as lines, line strings, curves, arcs, ellipses, cells, shared cells, texts and text nodes.
It is possible to export one element, selected elements, elements defined by a fence or all the elements in the design.
The elements can be exported together with their descriptive data (name of the cell, text of text element, number of the text node etc.) or you can export just the coordinates –making the coordinates list, in this mode it is possible to place exported coordinate sequence number into the design and to place a graphic symbol ( a cell) on the exported coordinates.
The coordinates are exported in the format *.csv which enables their easy import to other applicable programs e.g. MS Excel.
After the first start of the application there will be made the file expoints.rsc in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application ExPoints will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.
Help of the ExPoints application is available directly from MDL application ExPoints on the internet.
ExPoints is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
